Ice Cube affirms that choosing Lil Wayne and Eminem for his Rap Dream group was the right decision ever

Ice Cube lauds Eminem as one of the greatest rappers to have ever picked up a microphone in an interview with The Guardian.

Ice Cube was forced to address a wide range of topics in a lengthy essay assembled from public inquiries, including his split from N.W.A., his own regrets, reparations for Black Americans, and more.

Another question followed the format of “your Top 5,” but it was limited to “the best 2” and a very particular kind of hip-hop. Thus, we are unable to say that Ice Cube ranked Eminem in his top two. However, we can categorically state that Eminem, the legendary hip-hop artist, is in his Top 2 fi gh t rap.

I think Lil Wayne and Eminem are two of the greatest rappers to have ever graced the mic; I wouldn’t mind facing off against them.

Marshall would still be there if the question had not been so strangely specific. We are aware of this from earlier interviews with Cube, in which he highlighted Marshall’s abilities and listed Em among his unranked Top 10.
